Unified Game Theory

Hugh's Reviews
Each week Hugh reviews something, anything really, that has provoked a thoughtful insight.

Unified Game Theory
We believe in games. Games have been very good for business at our home farm in York County, PA. Through our experience at the home park, Maize Quest has pioneered new games in corn mazes.

Geocaching, Maize-o-Vision, Picture Find, Word, Find, Secret Word, Corn Maze Game Paks, Finger Fortune Games, TextPlay and The Funky Pumpkin Face Trace are all games designed specifically to increase the entertainment value of the maze.

Attractions, generally mazes, are the backdrop for games. Often the attraction itself is a game just as the corn maze is a puzzle to solve, so too are our labyrinths, fence mazes, and tile mazes. The key is to subtly combine the two, the attraction and the game, into one experience.

Games have become essential to the maze experience. When corn mazes first began, just walking around in the cornfield was fun enough. As the novelty wore off, guests began clamoring for more. Thus our stint of invention began and we developed our Unified Game Theory.

For instance, in a Dinosaur-themed Maize Quest Cornfield Maze guests explore a maze cut in the shape of a dinosaur. They look for answers to dinosaur-based questions; find dinosaur pictures; decode a secret dinosaur word; and finally view the dinosaur map with our decoder lenses.

Everything, attraction and games, ties together; it all makes sense. That is Unified Game Theory. That is how we design games and attractions.

The question is: How unified is your guest experience?

We are very excited to release our “Funky Pumpkin” and “Happy Apple’ Face Trace Games because they are games that offer a great activity for nearly every fall harvest operation; and activity that builds the unified farm experience.

Do you sell pumpkins? "Funky Pumpkin" reinforces that retail sale.

Do you sell apples? Happy Apple builds on the “Apple” picking experience. It creates a Unified Theory for the retail experience of your farm.

Sound like something for your operation? You can count on both games are going in at our home farm. We sell apples and pumpkins!

We will have the most unified experience in our competitive space and that is good for business.
